Your Role

The Business Architecture team, within the Enterprise Architecture organization, is responsible for developing strategies and multi-year integrated roadmaps that bridge our business portfolios and technology vision. The Consultant, Business Architect will report to the Sr. Director, Business Architecture and Innovation Product Strategy. In this role you will Medi-Cal portfolio. Working in close partnership with business and IT portfolio leaders, this role will develop and maintain portfolio reference architectures, strategic architectures, capability analysis and integrated roadmaps that help guide strategic investments and priorities toward the future state vision.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Develop the target state architecture for complex projects, which defines the end-to-end solution for any given strategic or complex project within BSC.
• Define an architectural strategy and solution architecture that supports the short, medium and long-term business objectives across more than one product line.
• Maintain the architectural integrity of the products and solutions in multiple domains.
• Recommend architectures that are consistent with BSC's reference architecture.
• Develop architectures that promote product scalability, extensibility and adaptability.
• Develop and maintain the portfolio business reference architecture for HR, Finance and Legal
• Drive strategy and roadmap development ensuring business and technology strategies are fully integrated
• Participate in the prioritization, sequencing, and impact analysis of targeted investments
• Provide communication and definition of strategies and capability needs to technical and non-technical people at all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires at least 7 years of relevant business and IT experience
• Requires at least 2 years of experience in an architecture role
• Prior experience in developing enterprise-level architecture strategies and roadmaps
• Prior experience in portfolio investment planning
• Prior experience defining and analyzing enterprise business capabilities
Must be a team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $ 118800.00 to $ 178200.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Due to the current public health emergency in California, Blue Shield employees are almost all working remotely. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
